STRAY KIDS reach number 1 on the US Billboard! On June 11, 2023, Billboard announced that the new Stray Kids album 5-STAR debuted at number 1 on its Top 200 Albums chart. This list ranks the most popular albums in the United States. Following their previous mini albums ODDINARY and MAXIDENT from last year, 5-STAR is the third Stray Kids album to top the chart.

And, what is the most surprising of all? That the group is not only now the first K-pop act in history to have their first three chart entries debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200. They are also the first artists since Harry Styles to accomplish the feat! Additionally, the group is only the second K-pop artist to top the Billboard 200 more than once, following BTS.

What was the total 5-STAR score for STRAY KIDS?

STRAY KIDS reach number 1 on the US Billboard! And, what we’re also excited about is that the album earned a total of 249,500 equivalent album units for the week ending, which was June 8th. The album’s total score consisted of 235,000 traditional album sales.

That marks the biggest week of US sales for any album since Taylor Swift’s Midnights with 14,000 streaming-equivalent album units. That equates to 19.55 million on-demand audio streams over the week.
